Voicearchieve Agency Team

Working at VoiceArchive

We are always keen to hear from great people that want to join us. Here are our current open positions and why you should apply…

Senior Software Engineer (full time)

Software Developer (student job)

Are you a voice talent?

Great! We’re always looking forward to hearing new voices. You can head out to our apply as voice talent page and fill out the application form.

Do you consider yourself somewhat of a Gyro Gearloose in software engineering?🚀

.. and would you like to join us in an exciting growth journey, that requires you to buckle up and hang on to your hat? Do you want to help take a solid ERP/SCM engine to the next level while bringing new customer-centric technologies in play, on a journey to become the absolute easiest voice over agency to work with? Then, it’s YOU we are looking for!

Having 20+ years in the voice over industry, VoiceArchive proved to be an experienced player. We have a history of pushing limits and being first movers on the remote-first approach to global audio recording in distributed- and home studios; and now we are facing the next journey. We want to be the absolute easiest voice over agency to work with, both for our talented voice over artists and for our fantastic global customers, such as Spotify, Google, Jabra, Jysk, BMW, AirBnB and more. We need an experienced software engineer, who’s able to have a lot of balls in the air.

What can we offer you?

We throw great parties, that’s for sure 🎉 Delicious daily lunch, pension plan, health insurance and hyggelige social events is also a given, of course. We believe that people are different, so your employment package will naturally be tailor-made to fit what’s important in your life right now.

You will be a part of a global team, with colleagues in London, Hamburg, Pretoria in South Africa – and of course in Aarhus, where our headquarters and your future desk are located. We have an informal workplace culture, the people are (if we are to say so ourselves) amazing and share an ambitious, solution oriented “Pippi Longstocking” mentality; if we haven’t done it before, we must be good at it. We have a flat organization, we depend heavily on each other and everyone is ready to lend a hand when needed.

Who are we looking for?

We are searching for an experienced full-stack software engineer, who is excited to fill a wide role in our small team. It is expected that you – depending on the project – will take responsibility for your tasks and projects all the way through our development process including R&D, design implementation, test driven development, deployment, orchestration and infrastructure and monitoring in production environments. No stress though, you will have all the sparring and creative feedback you will need and – of course – lots of pair-work.

We expect that you like to challenge yourself and that you strive for knowledge. In return we offer a position where your personal development and opportunities are in focus. We require that:

  • You are solution oriented, responsible and hate leaving things unfinished
  • You can communicate with non tech people, about projects and tasks
  • You are comfortable working together in teams with people from different parts of the company
  • You must have practical experience with PHP development, MVC frameworks, JavaScript frontends and RDMBS’s such as MySQL
  • You may have heard about, and are willing to explore; PostgreSQL, MongoDB, GraphQL and technologies like Chef, Flynn.io, AWS, GitHub Actions, DataDog, etc.

What’s under the hood?

Our suite of services is built on, and around, a solid production ERP/SCM engine, written in PHP, which is also the central API for our macroservices that we have built and launched alongside continuous development of our primary platform ever since the engine was launched in 2011.

Historically, we have preferred PHP as our go to language while our newer services are built with the right tool for the job mindset, which is why we have services in production in technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Go and Node.js as well React.js SPAs, GraphQL APIs, etc.

We are facing an exciting and fast-paced time ahead where we will take our production ERP/SCM engine to the next level while simultaneously working on a lot of exciting projects on our roadmap. These projects will support our goal of becoming the absolute easiest voice over agency to work with.

Ready to take the next step?

Are you ready to become part of an organization where no two days are alike – and where we love speed? Then send us your application and CV to Mathias Lynnerup Jakobsen, CTO, at mathias@voicearchive.com. We will call in for interviews until we have found our new colleague. We can’t wait to read your application!

Do you want to gain relevant software development experience, enjoy Q/A and hunting down bugs? 🐛

.. then you might be just right for our team! We are on the lookout for a student worker to help our software engineering team hunt down bugs, improve the foundation of our production systems, make ongoing improvements and help with Q/A on releases to our suite of services.

Having 20+ years in the voice over industry, VoiceArchive has proved to be an experienced player. We have a history of pushing limits and being first movers on the remote-first approach to global audio recording in distributed- and home studios; and now we are on our next journey. We want to be the absolute easiest voice over agency to work with, both for our talented voice over artists and for our fantastic global customers, such as Spotify, Google, Jabra, JYSK, BMW, AirBnB to name but a few.

To reach our goal, we are looking for a student worker to help us ~5 hours a week for the next three months, with the possibility of continuing working together afterwards. Your tasks will include – but not be limited – to:

Also, since you’ll be able to work both from the office and from home, you must be structured, reliable and responsive. You must be proficient in English, and if you can speak Danish, to some extent, that’s just a plus.

You’ll be working with a small, informal but ambitious team in Aarhus, with colleagues in London, Hamburg and Pretoria.
