FAQ: Everything you need to know about voiceover pricing
Cost is determined by: number of markets, total script volume per market, session type (self-directed, live-directed, or studio-attended), post-production complexity (single-language edit versus full multi-market QA and delivery), and usage rights required for the finished audio.
Our talent pricing is predefined, every talent in our active roster has an agreed rate structure confirmed at onboarding, not negotiated per project. When you brief us, we can provide a project cost estimate quickly and accurately without a round of rate discussions that delays the timeline.
Predefined pricing also eliminates mid-project surprises. Script grows, additional market gets added, retake is required — we work through the agreed structure. No ad hoc invoices for items that weren’t anticipated at briefing.
For complex projects – large-scale rollouts, unusual dialect requirements, custom scouting – we provide a detailed cost breakdown before production begins. No ambiguities about scope or cost going in.
Retakes caused by our error or a performance issue we didn’t catch in session or QA — covered. Retakes caused by a client script change, a directional change after session sign-off, or a requirement that wasn’t in the original brief — handled as additional scope, quoted transparently.
The more important point: our production process is designed to minimise retakes in the first place. The custom audition eliminates casting risk. The talent briefing eliminates performance ambiguity. In-session playback catches problems while the talent is still available. Linguistic QA catches language-specific errors before client review.
Our 9/10 first-pass approval rate reflects that investment in front-end quality. Fewer retakes isn’t a selling point — it’s a structural outcome of how the process is built.
To give you an accurate quote and timeline, we need:
- Target markets and languages — how many, which languages, any specific dialect requirements
- Script status — final, near-final, or in progress (we can start casting in parallel if it’s not locked yet)
- Deadline — hard air date or target delivery window
- Session type preference — self-directed (talent records to brief with no live session), live-directed (our team directs in real time), or attended (your team joins the session)
- Delivery format requirements — broadcast specs, file naming conventions, platform requirements, your existing workflow tools (Frame.io, Adobe, etc.)
- Usage rights — territory, duration, and channel (broadcast, digital, OOH, etc.)
You don’t need all of this locked before getting in touch. Many projects come to us mid-development — deadline confirmed, script still in final approval. We can scope based on what you know and flag the open variables. The earlier you bring us in, the more flexibility we have on timeline. But we’re built for the situations where that flexibility doesn’t exist.
Each category of voice overs we do has some basic service inclusions. Also included in the price of a voice over is the voice talent fee, booking and studio fee (if applicable) and editing of the recording. The editing is limited to only removing errors from the recording, which means that you will receive one sound file containing the entire recording. At an additional fee we can split the recording into smaller consecutive files, e.g. matching marked, paragraphs in the script.
Rates are dependent on whether your voice over is used for a voicemail or a nationwide TV commercial. For example, voice talents charge differently for recordings used for broadcast usage (radio, internet, and TV) than for non-broadcast recordings.
Yes. Please contact us for discount rates. How large a discount we can offer depends on the type of project and which voices you have chosen.
You dont have to wait. We're reay to produce your quote
