Danish Voice-Overs

Danish is the national language of Denmark. It is spoken by around six million people – primarily in Denmark, but also in Greenland, the Faroe Islands and in the region of Southern Schleswig, Northern Germany, where it is a common minority language.
Standard Danish (Rigsdansk) is considered the most common among native speakers. The differences in the Danish accents and dialects are decreasing over time, but the language is still split into three main dialect groups: Eastern Danish, Jutlandic Danish, and Island Danish, which is further divided into 30 dialect areas.

Choosing between a Standard Danish voice and a Jutlandic voice depends very much on your project and its purpose.

Standard Danish is the most common accent used in the media and in the capital area, and it will target most of the population. A northern Jutlandic accent, on the other hand, might fit your specific message perfectly and emphasize its intended purpose.
